Finally got to track...should it have more?

99' TA......Patriot 2.5 5.3 heads, cam (can't remember specs), ls 6 intake, power glide, 4500 stall, 4.56 gears. Car has all interior removed, 8 pt bar, a/c deleted, open exhaust.

All runs were 1/8 mile only. Best of 7.21 with a 1.60 short time on 26" drag radials. MPH traps always read fast at this track, so no good data there.

Rev limited set to 6600 with a hypertech, but car is hitting the limiter right before the finish line. May be too much converter, its a 8".

What do you all think?

Get rid of junk hypertech tune first

Why would you have all them mods and back it up with a hypertech, get a custom tune and it'll wake it up BIG time

Streetknight were are you from? What was the da? Also like already said get dyno tune

It's my buddies car, it has had a tune with LS1 edit a few years ago. He said he only used the hyper to adjust limiter...it made 430 to the tires when it had a 4l60e and a 3500 yank

Pretty sure the second you plug that hyper tech handheld into the car, whatever tune that was there is immediately wiped off. Not 100% on that, but pretty sure.

Either way, The 60' looks slow for the mods. I'd start with a tune, man.
