Default 2001 corvette bolt ons 160k miles :) 1/4 mile

Hello everyone,
I've always been a big ls1 guy, but always had a camaro.. I finally decided to step up to a corvette last month.. I picked up a 2001 c5 black on black 6 speed car for a really good price.. It has 160k miles on it, but the motor runs superb.. Anyways I took it to the track for the first time tonight.. I launched real soft as the track is over 100 miles away and I drove there and back.. Here is a break down of the runs.

Modifications:
Kooks stainless long tubes
Kooks X pipe
Hurst shifter
unknown intake.. It was on the car when i got
Bald *** kumho's
Hp tuned - by me

Timeslip goes as follows:

1st Run

60 2.231
330 5.071
1/8 8.469
mph 92.25
1000 10.848
1320 12.837
mph 115.29

2nd Run

60' 2.155
330 5.642
660' 8.404
mph 92.35
1000 10.770
1320 12.750
mph 115.85

I made 2 other runs, one was with the wife in the car so they won't let you go past 13.99 with a passenger... I launched it to the 1/8th and cruised the rest of the way to a 14.5 lol.. The other pass it grinded going into 3rd gear and ran a 13.3@110.. It continued to grind 3rd on the way home .. I'm thinking it bent the shift fork or something.. I've rebuilt 5-6 t56's before so I'm going to order a rebuild kit for it and do it next week after I get home from vacation.. All in all it was a fun time.. My brother brough out his 99 z28 with some mods done to it and ran a 12.2@110.. He's got alot of tuning issues to deal with.... I datalogged his car on one pass and it was at 35 degrees of timing @ one point and the knock retard was all over the place.. He should be trapping 116+.. Hopefully it goes in the low 12's next time

Thanks,
Craig

Almost forgot to mention.. The mufflers are stock, I like it to be quiet so I can cruise without a lot of drone..

He's got a midwest 4k converter, longtubes, tr228.. He should be running alot faster.. He loaded in an unknown tune off the internet that had it running 35 degrees of timing @ wot, KR was through the roof, his ltft's were -15.2.... Also was only shifting @6k. Needless to say it was all screwed up.. I tweaked it some with my hp tuners but we were already done running for the night. He called me on the way home and said it's pulling aloooot harder.. I figure that 12.2@110 should be able to come down to 11.7-11.8@115 or so after I put the wideband in and tune it properly for him..His raceweight was 3600 though, so its a pretty heavy car. I will give him props though, the motor and transmission is the original factory ones with 201k miles!!

Nice runs for the 60'! Drop that 60 down and there's some easy low 12s in her on street tires. The trap is strong too, it shows that Vette's potential.

Thanks, Once i rebuild the transmission and put some new tires on it, I'm thinking 12.3-12.4.. I might go ahead and get the z06 titanium exhaust and port the throttle body.. Try to get low low 12's

Nice! ET is as expected launching easy, but your MPH is definitely strong. With DR's you should have no problems doing low 12's.
