Stock 02 SS 14.4 :(
So I took my SS to the local track and did two passes the result was terrible!
R/T .50
60 2.35
330 6.748
1/8 10.00
Mph 78
1/4 14.8
Mph 98
^^^^^^^^^
1st run no traction fishtailed after it shifted I let off half way down the track then hammered it
2nd run the car hooked a little better felt like was going to make a solid pass when I think just after the 8th it hit some sort of limiter or governor .
.68
2.248
6.083
9.091
82.91
14.4 1/4
80.10 mph
I believe the car should of run better but idk car has 96 thousand miles A4 and 323 gears..full weight crappy nitto extreme tires.

A decent average 60' is probably 1.9-2.0. from the looks of your 2nd pass, you were a second faster by the 1/8th, which wouldve equalled at least a second in 1/4 mile ET. what was your tire pressure at?
My 97 saturn SC2 went 14.83@92mph on a 2.2 60' a few years back lol

98 mph trap is low so youve got a power making issue , but a 98 mph trap should also be good for about a 13.9 et which is partially your 60 foot but not entirely.
was this your first trip to the track , car still hot from driving there , car have heavy wheels ,big stereo system , etc... weight slowing it down ?

sounds like it mightve hit the limiter on the 2-3 shift. With 3.23 gears, it would shift into 3rd somewhere at or after the 1/8th mile.

What did you do after it hit the limiter? were you trying to shift the car? If so, DONT! It'll NEVER go into 3rd gear when manually shifted, as the 2-3 shift is lazy enough without trying to shift it yourself lol.
Either it doesnt like to shift into 3rd @ wot or maybe you accidentally pulled it into 2nd during your run. Try leaving it in OD and see if the car will shift. It shouldnt slow you down by doing that. the WOT shift tables are set at the same speed regardless of being in D or OD.
Also, low profile street tires dont like to be at such a low psi. since the sidewalls of those tires are alot stiffer than a 15" tire, what happens is the outside part of the tread touches more than the middle of tire and now you have less contact patch than if you were to run 24psi in them. generally speaking, you dont wanna go any lower than 24-25psi on that tire. Get drag radials if youre worried about traction
Next time at the track, try just rolling into the throttle off the line instead of flooring it so you dont spin. If you can, set a video camera up in there so we can see whats going on too; even if its just laying in the seat, at least this way we can hear whats going on.
try that and report back

I don't think the car has problem making power, it just has to deal with traction should be an easy 13 sec pass if I hook

I was doing some thinking, I believe the wheelspin and it shifting into 2nd early had something to do with the 2-3 limiter issue. I had a similiar thing happen with my car. if it spun 1st gear, it'd shift into 2nd gear early(computer reads that the wheels are turning at a certain speed, so it shifts) That would cause me to be in 2nd gear wayy too early, and for some reason, it'd hit the limiter on the 2-3 shift and I'd have to let out. I put it in OD on the next pass, and it did the same thing on the launch, But it shifted into 3rd without issue. I usually run it in drive when it doesnt spin. Maybe give that a try as well.

A4 SS, so 3.23 gears right.
You should be able to run at least a 13.5 bone stock.
I'd heat up the tires, and go WOT. If you spin, go back and roll into the gas. I think 13.3's are doable.
