Default New to me 2002 Z28

So i picked up a 2002 Z28 A4 a week or two ago. It had a few issues (wheel bearing, frozen caliper, needed brakes, was tapped in the back. Fixed the mechanical issues and took it to the track tonight. Only mods being K&N FIPK and Magnaflow catback.

MPH 106.60

So after 4 more 13.0 passes i decided to switch out the FIPK to a lid setup that i picked up right after i bought the car. First pass with the lid

Pretty happy with it. I've had 9 F-bodies and this seems to be the strongest stock one that I've owned. I'll be doing full bolt-ons with a 4k stall which should get me into the 11s then doing a dry 100 shot to get me in the 10s. Ill post up progress along the way.

Edit: This car is also full weight with the spare/jack and all still there

Actually it wont really be a full bolt on car as im not doing EWP, UD pulley, or manual steering. It'll get 1 7/8 headers, TSP y-pipe, 4k Circle D stall, and some weight reduction (spare and jack, maybe bumper supports). It already has an LS6 and the upgrade to a FAST isnt worth it to me for the money. this is just a driver for me as I'm building a turbo LS car that looks pretty much identical.

Edit: btw, I live in NJ so i have the magical Atco raceway to help me achieve these times as well. -1500 DA isn't uncommon in the fall.

Very nice. I bought my 2002 z28 new and its still going strong. Your car runs good they can be made potent with the right mods.

+1 for getting rid of the FIPK. I just took mine off for the FTP 104 lid. Curious to see what my new times are.
