Went to the track 2-5-17 to try out my 3.73 gears. I was hoping for more of a gain from the gears since I have ran 6.76 with 3.08 gears. The car is leaving harder but it's seperating more now. I think I'll add some travel limiters and start tuning the strutts from there.
It was running consistent low 1.5 60s barely lifting the drivers wheel after I added an anti roll bar. Now it's lifting both wheels and ran a best 60 of 1.44 .

This is the best picture of the launch. I think if I can calm it down I may can get low 1.4 to high 1.3 60 on a good pass.

We got to looking over my time slips and comparing them to my previous best with the 3.08 gears and I gain in the 60 and 330 and fell off after that. Checked the runs out that I logged and found out I am losing time on the 2-3 shift even though we made some passes to dial the shift points in 3rd is still lazy. May be time to go through Transmission now. Thought I would gain more from the gears and I may once everything is ironed out.

Yea, that does sound a little odd. Are you happy with how it's going through the 1/4 trap according to rpm?

I haven't ran the 1/4 since the gear change. With the 3.08s it was changing to 3rd to close the the beams to take advantage of 3rd gear and I tried running it on out in 2nd in the 1/4 and it didn't like that either. The 2-3 shift could have been part of the problem on the 1/4 passes too .

Ahhh. Once you get it all ironed out it'll be cool to see what it does.

When I started this build my goal was 6.50s with a sbe ls2 N/A and drive to and from the track .
