Default LS7 fbody low 6's NA

Went to the track a few weeks ago and ended up going faster than I figured the car would after the th400 swap. Ended up doing a 6.49 pass, a couple 6.3x passes, and a couple 6.2x passes best being a 1.28 60ft running 6.22@108 in the 1/8th. Pretty happy with it for now since it NA but I plan on putting a small shot on for next year. I'd like to keep getting faster on motor though if I keep fine tuning things. Car has MWC suspension, rmvb th400 8" ati converter, Brian tooley stage 3 cam, compression is 11.8. pump gas, msd intake not sure what the car weights but I'd imagine it would run in the nines on motor with probably a 4.10 gear.

Congrats on the impressive times. That car is 9.7@135-136ish as it sits with the current ET's.

Thanks guys, Ill try and go to the 1/4 next year and see what it'll do but I usually focus on short track since that's all that's local. Not sure on weight, buddy of mine is around 3200 without him and he have pretty similar chassis mine might be a touch lighter but I need to get it on a set of scales. Its a fun car the way it's sets I've won 2 local cash days this fall with it on the streets lol.

I used to be 6 speed but man I like this th400 alot better, auto Iis where it's at if your racing alot.Best I ever did with a six speed was 1.5 I believe and it run 6.90's. I have a n20 outlet kit I'd like to put on and try to run 5's but the way it's setup now it's been pretty low maintenance and consistent. I did buy a 1-2 leave trans brake valve body the other day, but if I do a shot I doubt the converter will take too much without needing tightened up some.

I went 6.60’s with a 1.47 60ft when it was 6 speed. I’m sure with a turbo400, NA 8” converter and more gear I could have went really lose to what you did. Never pursued it tho. Got a glide and 10” nitrous converter instead lol

For 3200lbs+ and a TH400 running 108mph in the 1/8th you are hauling butt!

Does it have ported heads or just milled?

Thanks guys it's a fun car with little maintenance juss pull up to the line and go with it, it would be awesome to get it in the 5's eventually. Heads have tsp port program from back in 07, it does have ferrea hollow stem exhaust valves and victory titanium intake valves. I did have the moldstar90 valve guides installed by American Heritage Performance and they did a new valve job.
