Needs a nitrous converter and she'll be easy in the 9's. Getting 16-18% slip on the big end. Launch staying down, suspension dialed in.

They are not terrible...about 800-1000 rpm. But it is flashing to 6,000 on the hit and the motor is not getting a chance to "work". It should be gaining ~28 mph from 1/8th to stripe. I even locked the converter at 120 and she's still slipping.

Here is a video for comparison of launch. 1.29 60 ft. 4;10 gear. Your car sounds as if it was spinning on launch, hard to see from video. What rear gear and tire size?

3.54 gear 26" Pro Bracket Radial. Very little spin if any. Your hearing it go straight to 6000 off the foot brake.

If you change gear to a 4;10 and a 28 tall tire the converter will be more efficent. I am guessing your car is real heavy?? Mine was around 3,100 race weight.

Thanks but, gear and tire are not going to tighten up this converter. It's just too loose. It is a N/A converter, period. I have been working hard on weight reduction (3350# RW and 3150# without me). Also got it staying down like I want. Wheel stand are good for pictures but, my goal is to have all my cars leave like they are being shot of an aircraft carrier. Pretty sure a tighter converter will make all the difference.

Shes running good! I wish my car left like either of y’alls. I trap what ragtop did on his pass but nowhere near the et because of spinning. Maybe one day I can put in the time to get the suspension dialed in and be close to those 6.3s.

I'm pushing the limits of these single adjustable shocks...but the new ARB/Drag Bar from MWC is doing its job. No more twisting and unloading the tires. Once I get the correct converter in there, I may be needing to upgrade the shocks to some good double adjustable.
