Default My 3180# LQ4 Powered Car

I'm running a stock head, rod, piston, and crank LQ4 with a Holley Low rise intake, 996 CFM ProSystems carb, 1 3/4" headers, PowerGlide, 5500 stall, 4.30:1 gear, 28" tall slicks The cam is the Texas Speed MS4. I am trying very hard to make a 10 second pass before the end of the season. These time slips were from a 92 degree day with near 70% humidity. Run at 27 degrees timing and 93 octane fuel.

Just need some better air. Using Density Altitude (DA) is best for judging weather. www.airdensityonline.com and find your local track.

Why so low on the timing ?

Have you tried any other settings ?

Shift points ?

Launch RPM ?

Footbrake or trans brake ?

Looks real consistent though.

Shift points ? I shift at 6700 and go through the traps at 6500 (1/4 mile)

Launch RPM ? 5200

Footbrake or trans brake ? Transbrake

I'll try a different timing curve this weekend, and extend the shift point a little, It's supposed to be cooler as well so I may jet the carb up too.

I started at 32 and went up from there until she dropped off, never tried less than 32

I'm running a Mighty Demon jetted to 78/90

I launch off the foot brake at 1000-1200 with a 5000 stall/TH350 combo

Shifting at 7000-7200 and cross at 7000

I know you have 10's in that thing....
