Default First time at the track, ever. (Not too Bad)

So I went to the track for the first time ever last night. Had a blast and ran a decent time. I’m not running the most ideal tire for the track (315/30r18 R888) but prep was good and I was able to ease into it. My first pass ever ended up being my best with a 11.24 @ 125mph. I feel with a better tire and harder launch 10's shouldn't be an issue. What do you veterans think??

Damn, that's pretty good! Car has 10.90's potential, or better with more seat time.

My first pass ever was a 15.60 in an old Mopar! That was back when they hand wrote the ET on a little card.

A tad north of 600rwhp on 8psi. Not sure what the car weighs but I do have some weight reduction like no spare tire/jack, rear seat & belts delete, corbeau fx1 pro seats, etc. I'm still on the stock 10 bolt though.

Gotcha. I make around 600 rwhp as well with a t56, 4.10 gear, and drag radial. Guys like us are on borrowed time for sure lol

Well, went back to the track on Saturday but only got one run in due to snapping the blower belt right after the finish line, which took out both the serpentine& AC belt and luckily not a radiator hose too.

I did tighten the Procharger belt on that run a little more but still spun my *** off rolling out of the hole. Don't have the slip on me right now for the exact numbers but it was around...

60ft - 2.2
1/8- 7.X @ 100mph
1/4- 11.6X @ 131mph

So I guess I was not making 600+rwp the previous night possibly due to stretched belt or belt slip and weather. Unfortunately it looks like tightening the blower belt a 1/2 turn more was too much for the belt.

Bottom line, I need a DR tire and rear end ASAP! Trap says low 10's mayyyyybbeeeeeee touch 9.99 with everything dialed in right.

A trap of 131 MPH is great. That trap indicates solid 10.60's, possibly 10.50's. 9's are possible with 134-136 MPH, with a fully dialed in car and suspension, meaning like 100 more passes!
