Default 2000 SS M6 4.8 Turbo results

gen 4 4.8l SBE, Huron v3 ac kit, VS Racing 7875 gen2, summit s2 turbo cam. ported 243's, ported LS6 intake, ~9.6:1 CR

Both runs were ~16 pounds of boost on 93 only. I haven't found the balance between spooling up at the tree and saving the stock 10 bolt (lol) but it was still fun. Went in hoping for a 10 sec pass and a 130mph trap. Slips and timing table below. Thoughts on current times/attainable times welcome. Opinions on RWHP welcome.

You've got over a second left on the table, controlling your rotating assy's inertia discharge rate will be the key to taking advantage of it. The clutch is what controls that discharge rate. Rough numbers here, but after a 7200rpm launch you need a discharge rate of about 3400rpm/sec. After a 1-2 full power shift about 4800rpm/sec. Most concentrate on dialing in an appropriate discharge rate for whatever launch rpm they choose, then use an ignition cut to make room for the shift discharge. Shouldn't have any trouble building boost

My ClutchTamer and Hitmaster products are basically inertia discharge rate controllers for the rotating assy. Here's a link to a page with a list of stick shift clutch engagement controllers you can find on the web- https://grannys.tripod.com/clutchcontrol.html

Damn I didn't realize there were controllers for clutch engagement. Pretty cool stuff Grant. Thanks for the feedback as well.

I'd be interested in seeing someone's timing tables that uses one of those controllers... or even no lift shifts for that matter. I'll most likely go the 4l80e route once I break the trans, driveshaft, or the rearend lol. The car is still a blast as it sits.

Completely expected for that boost and a 2.0 sixty. When you leave on a 2 step it'll change your world.

Yeah, didn't realize the tree was only .5 sec lol. it takes ~3sec for me to build boost on the 2 step. I should have started on it when I staged and not halfway down the tree.

reaction time does not impact ET/MPH. You can sit all day at the light.
