Default Trap speed good or not?

So I went to the track last night in my 98. Track wasn't having it and I couldn't launch to save my life, I must've been rusty as it's been while. DA was right a 2000ft. Car has been high 1.7s, low 1.8s in the 60ft and it did a best last night of 2.06. So my E/T was terrible. 12.56. Trap speed was 111mph. Personal best is a 12.36. at 110.5 mph in 2700ft DA. From the 12.3 pass to this 12.5 pass I added an Underdrive pulley, an SSRA, and a UMI Torque arm relocation. Torque arm is next on the list. I feel like my trap speed is a little low, but maybe I'm paranoid. My car is a full weight car, Spare tire and jack removed but I have 2 10s in stealth boxes back there now and 2 amps. I'm a small guy at only 140lbs. Mods are in the sig plus the underdrive and SSRA. Is 111mph about right? My friend with me last night trapped 108.4mph with headers, LS6 intake and SSRA untuned. But he's about 3500lbs at race weight.

Some 295 all seasons. It was either spinning out of the hole bad, or dead hooking with a soft roll in. Really no in between. It's done 1.7s on these exact tires. But as far as I'm aware, 60ft shouldn't affect the mph that much at all.

Spinning will skew your MPH for the ET.

Not too worried about E/T I just need to hit the track more and get my launch situated and I'll have a low 12 car again. More concerned with the trap speed as I see many users have much faster trap speeds even if their E/T is similar to mine. I've always heard spinning makes your trap speed high, don't know how much truth there is to it as I trap 110-111 every single pass regardless of the launch. From my best 1.7 to my worst 2.5.

I would expect that car to run somewhere around 11.7@115mph

I wish, that'd make me ecstatic, It definitely has high 11s in it if I had a tire, the 115mph just flat out isn't gonna happen with this setup unless I'm missing something.

12.5 @ 111
Doing the math, I show .7 left in it.
So, 11.8-ish

Yeah like I said, the car has been 12.3s with 1.7 60ft. And I was running 12.5s with a 2.0 and 2.1s, So it has high 11s in it. Just curious if the trap speed seems right for my mods.

Your da is causing low mph. Like stated it should run 11s around 115 mph and a decent 60’

Do yourself a favor and get some drag radial's so you can actually hook and see what happens.

I think the MPH is low, but there are a few things to consider:
  • 60 ft, no traction
  • Are you locking the converter at WOT, and when?
  • When you spin, some cars run thru the gears fast, screws up the whole run. I guess one way you can try to get around that on hard tires is to stall it up, and roll into the gas a little slower and take some bit out of the launch
  • 2.73 gears are not helping your trap speeds, what gear and rpm are you going thru the lights at?
  • 2000 DA = 3 tenths slower from 0 DA
