WOW..thats crazy... i have already destroyed a 9" rear also.. but mine is just that its slips during the burnout some times..its gonna pop soon i bet..
i launch at 6500-6800 rpms..

there used to be this old man that we hung around a little and this was how he told us we should launch

I've seen the same thing happen in my friends 68 camaro on E.T. Radials. Broke in the same place but tore his drive shaft to pieces as it was spinning around chaotically with the pinion gear attached just like in your picture. Tore up his floor boards a little to. Guess he'll have a drive shaft loop next time around.
