Default 1/8th pt4400 + stock motor

As of last year my best ET in the 1/8th was an 8.7xx

These run were made with the mods in my sig…

I added the yank pt4400 this winter and I ran it for the 1st time this year. I’m very impressive with the out come… I’m sure more could be pushed out of it.

These runs were made on 26x11.50x16 ET streets and 100% stock 77k mile motor.

so I picked up almost a full sec in the 1/8th and I’m sure this would have turned out to be a low 12.xx in the 1/4 most guys with the same 1/8 mile times have ran 12.3 -12.2 @110-112mph but I don’t have access to a 1/4 track. Maybe later this summer.

My next mods will be gears 3.73? Cam? You guys got any other ideas? I drive this car on the street about 2-3 days a week so I would still like to do that

Oh and most important thank you! YANK

Thanks, I’m very happy with the car.. But it’s funny how your mind can change in an hour... more more more! My goal was 7.8xx and I’m only 300th away so it’s time for the next goal… mid 7’s

My car only made 310/325 afr 12.4 flat" on the dyno but everyone knows how dyno numbers can be. This was before the converter. My car also has a knock retard problem like most 98’s

Like you said my next step is going to be a cam… I think with the right cam a mid 7 should be easy… i also have flashscan so i think i will pick up a wideband.

I really got noticed at the track… and I have been there many times before. One guy asked if I had a blower… few others asked how I cut so much time off my car… I guess they just don’t know ls1’s

congrats!

may also want to think of some ideas to get those 60' times down too, 1.5's are possible with a stock internal car with that converter

Yes suspension is something I really need to look into… I don’t know a lot about the subject but I have a few friends that have some decent setups.

I know dropping the front sway bar will lower the 60’s. I have also heard good things about Adjustable Hals for the rear shocks. Will LCA relocation brackets help on a stock weight car? I know it differs from car to car but have always heard that only lowered cars need these "too put things back in line?

I had 13psi in my ET streets when I made the 7.93 pass... lower psi? I started with 15psi and that’s when I ran the 8.0 but I also did not do much of a burn out the 1st time. The 7.93 I stalled to about 2100 – 2300rpms “to the point the car started to push the front end. Note I don’t have money for a 12bolt at this time but it would not be the end of the world if I had to rebuild my 10bolt

get rid of the sway bar,and sell those et streets and buy some et drags or drag radials.your 60fts will come down below 1.60 with that converter.

nice drop for a convertor swap!

Cam change and start saving for a 12 bolt, or beef up the 10 bolt a little (girdle and good axles) would be my next plans.

being that your car is factory weight, i am guessing raceweight is over 3450#?? Dont know if you would believe this, but Sir Coach up there can verify, the 2001 Z28 that will be 4 years old in July that is in my sig still has the untouched factory 10-bolt, with only gear changes made. The car is pushing over 400 rwph...so I wouldnt worry about a 12-bolt until you have to.
