Thank guys. I'm hoping to back on the track in 2 weeks, if not, a month at most. The "new" engine will be stock bottom end. Next will be the 200 shot - any limiter and some "bars".

Not yet Tom. It was on our "list to do" before the 200 shot was to be used in 2 weeks. We never expected the 150 to bring it up on the bumper. The weird thing is that all day 6-10" nothing even indicated that it would put it on the bumper.

David,

Hope it wasn't anything major and you get back to racing soon.

We'll know the damage in the next couple of days.

Hoping for the best. Limiters for sure, "sissy" bars and MadMan will make me feel a lot better on the 200 shot (or 250)

Damn, there is no pity in wheelstand city :/

Just hang a couple hundred pounds on the front - that will fix it

kp - I just removed over 300lbs from the dash to the front bumper .

We'll just keep working on keeping the SS's "feet" on the ground.

I think there'd be a lot of members in the bumper drag club

Eric. I just wish I wasn't one of them. Looks like I'm going to buy a different short block and continue on with my quest. Doubt it will be ready any time soon.

Thanks Joe. That was just on a baby 150 shot. Last half of last year (to include Thunder) I ran a 200 shot. I guess loosing 300+ pounds, Kook headers, new rear rubber, and my new custom air intake helped. Last year's best at Thunder was 10.08 on a 200 shot. So far this year (running out of rear at about the 1100' mark) is a 10.17 (DA at 2,900+') on a 150 shot. New 4.10's going in at the same time as the short block. 9's or bust on a stock short block

Thanks. The hood is a pin-on hood from BOA-FX (a company down out of Texas). It only weighs about 15lbs. Best thing is I got it shipped to me for only about $300.

The rear tires are Hoosier 30x10.5x15.
