Default First Win , New best in the heat...

Evadale Raceway in Evadale Texas had another one of their Match Race Madness races last night..I was paired against a local of mine from DeRidder and won the race against him..Pocketed $150.00 for one run which more then paid for our night out..Here's a LINK to the race site..

My car ran the best so far this summer with a 11.35 @ 118..The DA was at +2890 and hot *92..Humidity as at 56% but the track was hooking pretty good..I made 5 passes and my 60's never varied more then 3 1/100's..Was able to finally get some consistency out of the new Turbo 400 leaving off the brake using my delay box..

On the match race run I took a couple hundred's out of the box since the sun had set and went .497 red against his deep staged .437 red..I should've left the box alone since this was my first night race of the year..If I had left it where I had ran during the day it would've been a low .50 light..Here is a shot of the car that the track photographer took...

Thanks Frank..Since switching over to the Turbo 400 the car has been really consistant and is fun to race again..The 4L60E just was starting to be a pain in the *** to figure out..

Hopefully this year I'll be able to go rounds at the Shootout this fall without something going wrong...

I am one of the lucky ones. I've had good luck with the 4l60e. I run low 1.50's 60fts in the summer and have been 1.47 in the cold and have never had any problems. The transmission I currently have is 6 yrs old(GM remaned) and I have a spare that had 4yrs on it that was working great when I changed it. I did buy a TurboAction Turbo350(from on of the stocker boys) with the reverse manual valvebody that i will put in only when i have trouble with my current setup. Good luck and keep us posted. Hey Jason I though I would see you out at the Madness race this weekend..On the 11.35 pass it was a 1.601..I've lost a 10th since going with the 400..My best 60' with the 4l60E was a 1.49 and a average of around a 1.52..

I'm fixing to pick Madman mind to try and get this thing to 60' a little better..

The "Dale" is not known for hooking, I always 60' better at HRP. It is a good time with good people though.

Thanks bad95killer I appreciate it..

Coach I'm using a Meziere box..I don't know if they even still make them anymore through Meziere..Its a single delay that I've used in a couple of cars in the past..I'm a top bulb leaver and it works great..

I wasn't sure if you ran no box only but I wouldn't run brackets without it..
Thanks

Thanks for the info Tim. I run N/E only. FEAR(see sig) will not let me run Top ET. She don't like the snakes(Dragesters) and she said the box/Shifts takes the driver out of it.
