Default Give me your estimate...

What should my car run? I have yet to take it to the track and It's apart currently...

1998 Z/28 - TTops - all power options, cloth seats.

Mods...

Mac Mid-lengths
ORY
SLP cat-back
SLP lid
drilled butterfly on TB
gutted MAF
Pro 5.0 SS
Spec Stage 2 Clutch
160 tstat (doubt that matters)

I will be putting in 4.10s and running a set of DRs, and eventually running a 150 wet shot.

What should it run off the bottle? and on the bottle?

Thanks

*edit* - IT IS A 6 SPEED - Just noticed I didn't note that before.

the car ran a 13.3 with the stock gearing and only the cat-back, lid, and pro 5.0 with the previous owner (I have the timeslip).
I doubt 4.10s plus the other mods would do NOTHING.

you'll find 4.10s are too much for N20

Depending on your skills, I'm guessing 12.5ish all motor

My skills are ( i like to think ) about a 6 of 10 or so.

4.10s are too much? really? How so? Too much shifting? spinning tires? just wondering Thanks

How so? I was planning on running a 150 wet, Maybe I can swap in a 3.42 rear...get better gas mileage as it's my DD

i have an auto but my buddy has a 98 z w/ 120k miles on it and all he has is a lid and slp exhuast and on brand new street tires, oh yea, he was a six speed, he hit a 12.89@ 110. however, this was in the central valley of california where its good elavation and it was really cold at night. that was his best run, all others were 13.2, 13.1 and 13.0 but his best was 12.89...so you should be able to do 12.5-12.7 if your a good driver and if the track conditions are similiar

you'll probably run out of gear at the big end. Back in the day when I sprayed...I found 3.73 was a better gear for the juice...that is unless you step up to a taller tire

Ah I see... Guess I'll consider the 3.73s then.
