Default 6/3 Race Report

Man, what a night of racin. This was our 4th points race of the season( Houston Raceway Park). I was gone all week on vaction and had a bunch of work to do yesterday morning before the race. I changed the oil/filter, tranny fluid and mounted the new slicks. I had the whole Ray Family Racing crew with me for the 1st time this year. Yes, even FEAR was with me.

I ran both classes again(Top Et & N.E). My 2 TT were great 10.55 with a 1 with a 1.40 60 ft and a 10.51 with a 3 with a 1.38 60 ft.

1st round in, Top Et I went .22 on the tree to the other guys .054 I ran dead on 10.51 with a 5 on a 10.51 dial. He was 1 over.

1st round N/E, I went -.025 on the tree to the other guys .05. Funny thing on this red light. I had a damn jun bug fly into my eye on the 2nd yellow light which is some what of a shock. Never had that happen before.

2nd round Top Et, went .017 on the tree and run a 1 over 10.51 with a 2 on a 10.50 dial. The dragester went .025 on the tree and ran a 8.07 on a 8.06 dial.

2nd round N/E(buy back), I went .030 on the tree and ran a 10.52 on a 10.50 dial. He went .105 on the tree.

3rd round Top Et, I went .025 on the tree and ran her all the way out to a 10.50 with a 5 on a 10.50 dial. The other guy went red with a -.003.

3rd round N/E, I went .028 on the tree to the other guys .089 I run a 10.52 with a 7 on a 10.50 dial to the other guys 12.87 on a 12.89 dial.

4th round Top Et, I go .019 on the tree to the other guys .025. I run a 10.50 with a 2 on a 10.49 dial to the other guys 10.44 on a 10.45.

4th round N/E, I go .030 on the tree to the other guys .122. I run a 10.54 on a 10.49 dial to his 11.87 on a 11.89 dial.

5th round Top Et, I get the bye run. I just stage break the beams and back out. I had to hurry back the the lanes for pairinbg for the 5th round of N/E.

5th round N/E, I go .034 to his .069 light and run a 10.53 on a 10.57 on a 10.53 dial to his breaks out 11.36 on a 11.37 dial.

6th round Top Et, I go .001 to his .027 but I run a 10.64 on a 10.56 dial to his 7.92 on a 7.90 dial. I think I was very low on fuel.

6th round N/E, I cut a .022 light to his .033 light. I run a way off 10.67 on a 10.56 dial to his 12.03 on a 12.01 dial. I dont know what happen as of yet. This race was at 1:00am this morning. We just put the car in the trailer and heading home. My girls and FEAR were wore out. We pulled up to the the house at 2:15 this morning. Hell 2 of the girls are still sleepin.

We made it down to 5 cars in both classes.

I want to thank again Fear, my Dad & Brother, Madman/Thunder Racing and LME for such a great motor.

We are still in the lead in HRP N/E track points(8 rounds ahead). We are also in the top 10 in Top Et track points.

We have point races this coming Saturday & Sunday(June 10th & 11th).

Seems to be a long day Coach but i knew on HRP will be different esp. ya have FEAR & whole Ray Family Racing crew standing behind ya

Anyway nicely done Coach & keep it up .

Nice job on going rounds in 2 classes Coach!

Any clues yet as to why the car suddenly slowed? Seems you had the tree figured out again and car was consistent. Hope you keep up the pace, as the year is going very well for you!

Congrats Coach!!!! I wish I could have been there with ya'll.

I've been out of the country on vacation and the car still has a few bugs to get worked out. We'll hook up eventually!

Congrats Coach.

It is very hard two run two classes at the same time for sure.

Sometimes I wish I lived in Texas, they always seem to have good racing down there?

Coach, what are the rules for the bracket races? Or where can I find them?
