got new nieghbors.... what should his car run? Well... i just got some new neighbors, and the owner of the house happens to have a bad *** firehawk. He is a computer engineer and knows his **** about LS1's and he has an extra ls1 motor which he took apart and put back together! He even tuned my car for free! He bought a motor from speed inc which was a 382 LS6 block that is fully built. Patriot Heads with a blower cam (226/234 .598 .599 117lsa). He has a Vortech supercharger kit (forgot what trim) with a aftercooler system. He has methanol injection and a laptop dedicated to Hp Tuners for his car. He plans on runnning a high nitrous shot. probably 200+ shot. He has a fully built tranny (and a 3500 stall) and a strange rear end (12 bolt i think) and huge *** tires in the rear and skinnies in the front. The car sounds like a full out drag car with his open long tube headers...... What do you think his car will run at the track with a full hook on the tires? I went cruising with him to the local street races and people were hating on him, telling me that his car is barely a 11 sec car... what do you guys think??

It sounds like you fell into a group of misfit **** talkers. <-- They run in packs and there's usually one or two that act as the mouth piece and the rest just swarm in for effect. I'm guessing this group drives raspy tipped imports .. or bicycles!?!?

Yea, some import guy was doing most of the talking. He owns a 11 sec GSX (AWD) eclipse.... and his car sounds liks ****.. so i dunno why he was talking **** about my neighbors firehawk. My nieghbor told me that he plans on doing single digits in it and i told the rest of the guys there at the street meet ups and they were like, "oh, and who told you that was single digit car?" and i was like, "the owner"... they responded by saying, "man, dont believe everythign you hear"

friend of mine has a car with a vortech kit on it, and his car, with zero traction stock f1 tires, totally stock motor and a 6 speed ran 12.1 @117 with garbage 60 foot times, in the 2.3x range. His car with a good hook along would have been a mid 11 second car easy, he was leaving about a 1/2 secodn at the 60 foot alone we figured. Now, put that setup on a built 382CI motor, and in a car that hooks with an automatic, and add nitrous on top of it, if that doesn't at LEAST run mid 10's, there's something very very wrong. I'd suspect that car off the bottle will probably run in the 10.9 to 10.5 range if it hooks hard, single digits on spray are very believable. However, I do believe that with a 200 shot on top of a FI setup thats' probably making in excess of 550 rw, is not likly gonna live very long.

Only problem with that, is that anyone in the know will throw the BS flag up on that one real fast, if they see nitrous and teh charger under the hood. I'd highly suggest keeping the hood on that bad boy shut... the blower whine will be enough of a giveaway.
