Default Car Almost finished..

Well this has been a long on going project for me but the time is almost here..
The Cagedape is almost back on the road again....

Old Setup.... tr224 cam, SLP Longtubes, LS1 intake, t56, spec 3, 9" 4.56
raceweight unsure..... 11.73 @ 117 mph..... 1.56 60ft

New Setup..... Trex, Fast 90/90, Kooks 1 7/8, th350 , 3500 stall,9" 4.56 custom CAI, 150lbs weight reduction.....

The 3500 converter is temporary as it came with my transmission... As soon as i can afford it i am getting an ATI 5500 stall and a Transbrake....

How much will this 3500 converter hurt me now.. what do u think i will run ???
and how much will i benefit when i get the 5500 converter???

thanks
Dave

If your going to stay N/A throw the 3500 stall out, get the 5500 in there asap. Right now I predict 10.80-90's with the 3500 with 1.48-1.50 60's. Does the car have a transbrake? If so get a 2 step and put that 5500 in there, launch the car at 3500-4000 rpm off the 2 step, you should be able to get into the low 1.4x even high 1.3x 60's and run 10.50-10.60's.

Which ever stall you stay with, keep an eye on your trap RPM's, you want to trap at the shift light in 3rd. If you add a 5500 stall the 4.56 might be too much gear or you might need more tire height. I don't know all the details of your car.

Good Luck,
Lee

I think a 4.56 gear is going to be too steep for 28" slicks. I have 4.30's and 28's and I think the most mph for the 7000 rev limit I can get out of it is 125 mph.

I agree 4:56's with an A3 might be a bit steep. Is this a nitrous car? If so then definately too steep.
