Default New Best Tonight

Well, I decided to put the 150 jets in today. The car went 11.1@128 with a 1.73 60 ft. This is through stock exhaust manifolds with catalytic converters. I'm pleased with the power, but am frustrated I cant get this car to launch. I just put in hal shocks and springs and UMI LCA's and panhard rod, but I guess they werent the problem. I either need the driver mod, or a fresh set of sticky tires.

I bought these ET Streets used, and when I bought them they had spider webs on them and their age is unknown. Then I let them sit for a season before putting them on, so maybe they are just too old. (Tread is great) I think I'll put on a fresh set of ET Drags before accepting the blame for these bad launches.

A fresh pair of tires should get you in the tens. your MPH is high enough to run mid 10s. A set of headers would put you over 130.

yep, tires may have great tread life but be "seasoned" where the sidewalls are worn, or the tread compound is hard. Fresh set should give you definate answer there (hopefully more hook).
MPH shows low 10s hooked up and clean the entire way. Good luck grabbing that timeslip!
