Your run'n 3.73 gears, some sticky *** tires and your lowered. I don't honestly think it'll break but our 10bolts have been known to be weak as ****. Thats why I wouldn't dare run with DRs untill I get the axle tubes welded atleast. I've gone through 2 rear ends before in my 68 and learned it the hard way. 10 bolts are weak,..unless you re-inforce em.

your rear will not break with a good hook, and assuming a full weight car, i would guess 8.3 at best. wheelhop will kill ANY rearend. however, for peace of mind, get an adjustable torque arm (adjust it to -2*) and differential cover, you will be fine.
my car launches hard enough to pop the driver's side front tire ~2" off the ground (or so i've been told, i've never personally seen it)..on the stock rear and a 3,500+ lb raceweight. fret not of the rearend, but pay CLOSE attention to your weak *** transmission.
don't listen to the 6 spd guys...

All this talk of breaking the rear is BS. If you are still on the stock converter I would say expect 8.5 to 8.6. I have almost the same set up but I have a 4K stall already and I'm running 8.0-8.1. BTW on slicks with the stock 10 bolt (3.73 gears and an LPW girdle and stud kit). Best 60 ft 1.69. I am honestly more worried about the trans than the rear.
