now i go tonight, my car has m/t et street's, headers, and bolt ons. and i cant do anything that a ****** 8.5 my 60' was 2.00 and i was trappin 86 mph. wtf is the deal here?

i was boggin quite a bit when i lauched but damn the only thing i can think of is the tires are to damn big cus the BARELY FIT they are m/t et street none raidals 26x11.5x16 mounted on a stock t/a rim. i expected to do way better than that and im very dissapointed. any help would be appreciate cus i will be goin back next week to try and improve.

I think your spinning or bogging bad the 60 foot is the reason. Or the track could have sucked. see my thread of similar experience.

Launch at higher RPM? I don't know cause I've never been to the track, but that's what I would do. When I race from a dig on the street, I want my tires to spin just a hair. I don't like letting the bog monster getting in my engine. But, I'm just a newb with NO track experience, just a little street racing for fun.

What was your 60 ft the first time you went to the track? Do you normally bog from a launch on street tires?

It sounds like the new tires are pulling the motor down. {bog] If you are going to run
them M/T ET's, you may need some more gear !

is the car tuned if not theres the problem.i done full boltons and a gear and picked up 1.1 at the track and 6mph with a worse 60ft than stock.also in terrible track conditions.i run the non radial et streets as well 26x10.5x15.there really wasnt enough track prep for the tires so i couldnt leave very hard.get it tuned

Get a tune. If you don't you may have less then stock horsepower. When I had the Z06 cam installed they first dynoed the car and it ran horrible. I believe the first tune was 330whp, and then it climbed up to 351whp towards the end, after all the tuning was done. You'll most likely see bigger gains with a tune, and I believe they can take out the torque management.

not that the tire is too big its that you have to much traction...get a gear in the rearend or go back to drag radials.

SAME Thing happened to me last night. Local 1000ft track was only running 1/8th mile so I had to make judgements upon that But, on my 17" TT2's and BFG Radials I cut a 1.8 60ft with a 7.78 1/8th mile ET. Last night I went with my new Taller MT Radials and Only got 2.0 60ft with 8.14 being my best 1/8th mile time. Getting my new Tranny with Yank 3400 in this week so Maybe I can spin my tires a little next time.

Gotta get gears Eventually too.

the taller tire will change your finnal gear ratio also it might be a combination of to mutch traction and not enough gear with the new tires i would try your old ones and see what happends ( worst case you do a lil spining and who dosnt enjoy that)!

Ive drove cars at the track with that same tire. I just left at 5000-5500rpm and dropped the hammer on the clutch and put it to the floor, 1.7x in stock cars, 1.6x in some modded cars.

Its a 26" tall tire which is the same as a 275/40 17 or 245/50 16 as far as height. Its probably just too much tire.. what pressure were the tires at?

could be a combonation of both tune/tires. now that you have better tires that are gripping and tune is not set right could be reason of bog and as mentioned before gears have an affect too. so just cause you were able to get better time and some wheel spin with 1st tire and then go and get better tires does not mean better time. your "gripping" tires are telling you what needs to be worked on next, so I would check tune, if you dont they are are only setting tires for your tune. hope this makes sense...
