Got into the 11's!!!

well this is the first time ive taken the car to the track on slicks, and since ive done alot of work to it. the track was ok for a while, and then it went to crap. i made several passes, launching at different rpms. it seems to like it best right at 6000rpms, thats if the track is hooking. my best time on paper looks like this:

Launching at 5500, spinning.
60ft 1.71
330ft 4.95
1/8th 7.61
1/8mph 93.11
1000ft 9.90
1/4 11.82
1/4mph 117.89

i had the best pass of the day, launching at 6000rpms, but the clocks messed up!!!! after that the track went away. it felt alot better on that pass, its hard to guess, but definately low 1.6 60ft. prob a high 11.60 pass.
:bang:
but not a bad day, especially for the first time on slicks, and only the second time at the track with the car. this was full street trim, spare, jack, all seats, and with the heavy ass 17" wheels on the front. wouldnt ya'll say it has prob a 11.50 or so with skinnies and hooking??? All mods in sig.

anyone have any input?

Well I guess I will have to void that warranty:) Just kidding thats what we build them for:). Great times with such a cruddy 60ft. Keep it up and play with the tire pressure. That is what we did when we started getting better 60ft times. Now you need some of that Madman Suspension to get you in the 1.40's.

GOOD JOB!!!!

Nice times Congrats and still with crappy 60ft.

Very nice numbers for a heavy car. Now lighten it up...

KBOBOZ71 Jan 17, 2008 05:51 PM

thanks, im gonna try and keep it in street trim. id like to see how fast i can go with it like that. i will be on skinnies next time, and hopefully the track will be a little better. im hoping for a 1.5 60ft. and maybe a 11.50 pass. it sure runs damn good though!!

Nice job Kelsy, you'll get even further down there with time, when I had the car with less mods I was running 11.84 @ 116 with a 1.74 60' and i seen some 12.0s @ 118mph with a crappy 60'

KBOBOZ71 Jan 18, 2008 05:31 PM

yeah, i didnt have skinnies then, and i added the heavy ass steel driveshaft. but im going back tomorrow with the skinnies to see what kind of times i can get. hopefully it'll hook.

that'd be me and nice runs but work on that 60' with a better track you should easily see 1.60s

well i weighed the car today, and with the 17" z06 motorsport wheels it weighs 3670. thats with the gas tank almost empty. and thats with me in it. taking the front wheels off and putting skinnies on saves me 50#s. so yes shes a bit heavy.
