Default L92 427 Full weight 02 Formula

Had the motor in the car for a month and finally got a break in the rain. Went to Orlando on Fri night on a good base tune from my friend Greg (Chevpower). Made an 1/8 and two 1/4 runs :
60'...1.54
1/8...7.06
MPH..97.83

60'...1.53
1/8...7.04
MPH..98.10
1/4...11.03
MPH..123.65

60'...1.55
1/8...7.06
MPH..97.73
1/4...11.06
MPH..123.42

I was pretty happy for a 1st time out and went to Lakeland dragstrip Sat, 1st run Sat just adjusted shift points up from 6500 to 6800 but hit rev lim on 2-3 shift car ran:
60'....1.53
1/8...7.00
MPH..99.10

2nd run Greg raised rev limiter, adjusted A/F (Dynojet WB) low gear was close but top of 2nd+ into 3rd gear took fuel out. Car was at 21* timing, in 1st went to 25* and 26* in top 2nd +3rd run:
60'....1.55
1/8...6.93
MPH..104.20

3rd run Greg took more fuel top 2nd +3rd got to 12.3/12.5 from 12.0 above 6400, pulled back to 25* in top 2nd + 3rd(due to knock), changed 1-2 shift up 100rpm ,2-3 shift down 50rpm run:
60'....1.54
1/8...6.92
MPH..104.03

DA was about 2000' both nights.

Damn nice results. It would be nice to have a tuner with me at the track like that. He knows what he is doing... thats for sure.

The same wheels and tires I've been running on this car , rears are 335/17 Hoosier dragrasdials (as good as or better then MT radials).

See Dave, I'm out of the loop... last time I saw that car, it had 275/40-17 MT drag radials on the ROH's. And you were running the Alumina Stars from the red car on the front.

Still rocking the 3.42 10 bolt? Or did you upgrade that as well?

This is my silver 02 Formula ,I drive it most days 30 miles each way to Kissimmee and back and I bracket race it 2 Saturdays a month. It drives just like it did with the heads/cam setup but alot more torque.

Same wheels I just went with the big 335/17 Hoosiers cause you couldn't get MT radials for awhile , I like the Hoosiers at least the big 17"s over the MT 17" tires. I broke the stock rear end and tranny sprag last year and broke both again in Feb 08 so now it has a Strange 12bolt with 33spline and 3.42 gears.

Nice times. Very impressive that you drive it that much.
I used to live in Fla. and like John said-it's friggin' hot, especially this time of year.
Nice job!!

Took the car back to Orlando last night Fri 25th and made 3 runs the track was just scrapped and there was alot of fast slick tire cars so the track was good.
1st run:
60'....1.49
1/8...6.89
MPH..99.85
1/4...10.81
MPH..125.90

2nd run:
60'....1.49
1/8...6.88
MPH..99.47
1/4...10.81
MPH..125.56
3rd run behind my friend Ed's 7sec Vette with 15/32 slicks(good traction for me):
60'....1.48
1/8...6.85
MPH..99.71
1/4...10.77
MPH..125.92

So apparently the 1/8 MPH is off at Lakeland but the car is still running pretty good for a full weight car.
