Default First time at the track with my cam only m6

I finally got a chance to take my car to the track on Sat. with the guys from Speed Inc. (Big thanks to Larry and the rest of the guys for an awsome day)and I pretty happy with my results. My mods are in my sig and this pass was launching the car between 4800-5000 and the car was still bogging a little.

60' 1.699
330' 5.074
1/8 7.801@90.67
1000' 10.137
1/4 12.101@114.97

I think that if I launch a little higher (5000-5500) I'll break into the 11s. I'm still getting use to launching the car with the new set up.

Wow nice setup you have there. 11s should definitely be in your near future.

Thanks, I have to sort some things out with my rearend before I go back but I am shooting for 11s. I think I actually broke somthing in my Tru Trac on my last past so I might be going with a spool.

Race car or street car? Spool would kind of suck on the streets.

Summer street/strip car. I know I'll be sacrificing a little streetability with a spool but I don't want to deel with the Tru Trac anymore and I need the strength at the track.

Looks good, man. Similar power, setup, and times to my car. It still has some more in it (mine, as well), but not bad for the first time out on the setup. Same situation with me. I'll be going for my second time on this setup on the 19th and hoping for some minor improvement.

I was running 315/35/17 MT DRs. The car hooks very well with when I can get some heat in the tires but I was having problems with my front brakes not wanting to hold the car with my line lock engaged. My 12.10 pass was the only time I was able to do a good burnout. I think with some heat in the tires and launching between 5000-5500 I'll be able to break into the 11s.

What rpm did you launch at for your 11.98 pass?

What tire are you on? I think I'm going to get some Billet Specialties but not sure what tire to go with.

I'm running the 10.5 x 16 MT ET Street bias plys, as well, making 400/367 SAE on a dynojet. 11.99 @ 116 with a bad headwind. Very similar setup to yours and power/times, as well. What is your 60'? Only been one day so far with this setup but got a 1.69 60' out of it. Going back next Friday for a rental day so I'm hoping for good weather. It was cool last time I went but we had a nasty headwind, 8-15mph on every time slip and 10mph on the 11.99 @ 116 slip.

nice times. Im also looking to get into the 11`s soon. 01ss m6 with bolt ons and minor suspension mods. best run so far is 12.2 @ 115.98mph. im still on stock 10 bolt so I only come out at about 1500-1800 rpm. Im going to shed some weight(bumpers and minor stuff) then throw the skinnies on the front. Im looking at the 233/239 cam from TSP but not sure yet. picking a cam is driving me crazy
