Default Hal Stocker Star "R" series front shocks

"HAL Stocker Star "R" Series Drag Race Front Adjustable Shock, 1993-2002 F-Body. Fixed firm compression with adjustable rebound."

Anyone know anything more about these? are they better than the Hal gen "F" shocks? Anyone running them? Any info would be great

Thanks

I haven't heard anything about them, but they sound interesting... I like the firm compression and adjustable rebound, and they are probably a lot more affordable than the double adjustable AFCO shocks.

I just got mine in last week, I talked to dan over at Wolfe Racecraft and he says that they do have a fixed compression rate and you can fully adjust how quick the front end "unloads". They are 90/10 shock like people have been using on the fox bodies for years. I was told they should be alot better for strict drag racing than the Gen-F shocks.

We will soon find out.

this looks very interesting. also, i bet that it could be cheaper since we would only put them on the front? no reason to unload the rear suspenion.

Looking to get either these or the standard F series soon. Any opinions on the R series yet?

Not yet maybe by this weekend, if not, then for sure next week.

It should go in the 1.3x's. Last time out it went 1.42 with a 3.23 gear. I have now moved to a 3.73 so I don't know if my results on the QA1's will be accurate.
