Well from where i last left off got pretty entertaining, lol. End of last season we went out to the track to try and get some passes in and beat my personal best....but that didnt happen. Car was running bad from the start and was knocking a little every now and then, just pushed it off as something stupid so did some passes. Still went 150 mph was was in the 9.50 range so thta was odd. We turned up the boost and did another pass and the knocking was really loud now so i figured it was done for the day. Loaded it up on the trailer, took her home, pulled the engine and found 3 bent rods and the knocking was the piston hitting the crank shaft, lol.

Also sold my 1985 convo pros and bought some Billet Specialties Comp 5 double bead lock wheels. Invested in a Least boost/bump box so i can finally control boost finally!! And topped it off with a MWC race column and race wheel.

Pulled the rearend and sold my old center section and 31 spline axles and got the pro HD center section with 3.50 gears and 35 spline axles. Also welded on my lower shock mounts and did away with the bolts and made some tow loops and welded those on. Next for the new intake i had to do a full cowl delete so it could fit directly under the glass.

Ive notice Proformance does something a little different with their trans vent when they build them. The cheap stock plastic line he removes it, taps and plugs the case where that is and moves the vent to the tail portion of the housing. So i messaged him asking him why and he said he does that to all his trans's that he builds because when on the break and bumping in it has a tendency to push fluid out so no more venting by the pump...sooooo i blocked off my plastic hose and drilled and tapped my case for a 1/4 quick fitting for my vent to my catch can. If any of you guys know Dave Klaput then you know hes a top tier trans builder so i didnt question it.

As far as the fun stuff goes i dropped off my engine to a local shop by me who builds some wicked engines, Legends Racing Engines. There building me a 403 with Wiesco pistons, Molnar boost rods and a Molnar crank. I bought a set of SPS Haymaker heads so i sold my old vic jr intake and bought the new ls3 Proflow intake. And to top it off i got a Moroso oil pan and some Holley tall valve covers. Needless to say this motor should be able to hold all this small 83mm turbo can throw at it! I should have the engine back hopefully next week so ill throw up some more pics when i get it back.

UPDATE TIME!!!

So as of last time i posted my engine was at the engine shop for almost a year without any work being done so that really fucked me and all last year i couldnt get anything done, Had to pull my stuff out of that shop and bring it to another shop who actually finished my motor when they said. So with that being said the motor is a stock iron block, LPC crank and rods and Diamond pistons. Block was bored .010 making it a 403 ci motor with main/head studs. Heads are SPS Haymaker heads and custom ground cam for the newly switched over e85 fuel. Upgraded to a Moroso oil pan with relocated oil filter, 3/8 pushrods with stock rockers, Holley tall valve covers, modded the cable bracket so its inline with the TB cable guy,
