24ft trailer question
If you can handle everything on one Saturday afternoon thats awesome, I'm not trying to say enclosed trailers are a bad thing, just like the car there are always little surprises that cost time and money. But if you are enthusiastic the extra work doesnt matter.
Sounds like you have a plan, I think you are pretty close money-wise for what you want. It sounds like a lot but when you start adding things up its just like the car - the little things really add up..
I did get lucky when Discount Tire offered me the warranty on the tires which includes dry rot and flat spotting. Bring on the free tires next season!
FYI I have a 24ft Carson enclosed. It has a finished interior with the L shaped cabinets and 120v wiring. It would be a very tight fit for even a small ATV. The straps for my car extend forward and take up floor space between the cabinets and nose of the car.
I've never checked my mileage empty, never towed it far enough empty. I have towed a friend's steel 22' steel trailer to New jersey and back, with the same car inside, and can assure you there is also a big difference taking off, climbing hills and passing, compared to my 24' aluminium. Both benind the same 454" Suburban. I would never go back to a steel one.
I will look into financing, but I can't imagine it being any lower than 9%.

Thats true about the tie downs, most of the time they are right in front of the cabinets on a 24, you can move them but trying to get the straps tight with the rings under the car is a PITA.
I dont disagree that aluminum trailers are nice, most of them are top of the line so their overall quality is usually better than the run of the mill Pace or Haulmark. But unless you are limited by your tow vehicle's weight/power and are trying to sneak under its max tow capability I dont see spending the extra cash myself. My pickup doesnt care if its pulling 4,000 or 12,000lbs really Sure I'd like to have an aluminum enclosed ust to not see any rust but the prices are crazy on a full aluminum trailer.
