Default 10.78 @ 127.53 Mph !!cartek X Pkg Sets Another C-5 Record

just got home from atco and what can i say IM STOKED

as most of you know about a month ago my car went in for the REV 2 updates to the 1.5 yr old x pkg and wow this car is a beast now!!!!!

more torque and hp !!! this is a totally different car i love it!!!!

my first pass of the night i knew this car was going places with a 10.89@127mph but get this my 1/8 mph was 101.12

i was really fired up by that point because it was 50 degrees and i couldnt wait till the sun went down and 10 degrees cooler

after 3-5 10.81-10.86 passes it happened !!!! here is the breakdown

60 ft 1.45

330 4.43

1/8 6.88
mph 99.49

990 8.94

1/4 10.781 @ 127.53 mph

here is the killer part i know i can do better !!!!

you know that feeling when you could have shifted alittle quicker here or there??? well my 1-2 shift didnt feel right...so i ll be back to try some more soon...

big thanks to CARTEK for pushing these head cam cars to this sick level!!!

also thanks to rodney"crashed94" on the forum for an awesome tranny!!!
best trans guy around hands down!!

i have this run on video and will post it in a day or so along with the time slip

big thanks to c5-pig!! if it wasnt for your 10.80 pass last year i wouldnt have pushed this hard to beat it.... now its your turn to be 2nd for a little while

i will keep you all posted because we are going to test a few different things out in the near future and push it another notch or two.....

HERE IS THE VIDEO*****http://www.wikdz.com/videos/BRENT10.78.wmv
its best to right click and "save target as" and play from pc

I'm not sure what I'm more impressed with, your 60', or the ET and mph. Awsome. Congrats. What kind of suspension work have you done, and what tires are you running? Unreal.

Brent,
Nice Job. What was the DA and what was your weight. That thing is flying. BTW are you going to Thunder? I know there is a certain Siver 98Z28 hoping to line up with you again.

That's just sick. You can't beat that. I met you guys at MIR a while back, and I know that you get the car down the track pretty good. Nice driving.

Actually last time on the dyno it made 400. Just ask Chuck at FLP. (I wish I made 450)
But no I have not run a 70 yet but I did run a .91 in 1000 ft air at 3350lbs.
Your car is haulin *** and I and a few others were curious if you knew the DA and your weight?
No bashing going on here. Hell with some negetive DA you might take Raughammer's record. Good luck.

3100lb car, -800 DA, 450RWHP, good rear gears, and some damn quick shifting is the perfect formula for those great times.
Congrats.

That's what I love about C5's! They are damn light for as little as you have to do for weight reduction. Perfect car for a street/strip setup. If I could have a C5 with 450rwhp..ah the things I would break!
