line lock installation
line lock installation anyone know if you can use a standard line lock on a 2001 formula or do you have to buy a special kit? i was planning on launching off the line lock and two step...any suggestions....trying to save money by buying a regular line lock for 30 bucks rather than the entire kit...thanks
You can use standard line locks and just cut into your brake lines and splice them in... doesn't matter where you place them. You'll need some flaring tools and fittings. You'll also need two solinoids, one for the front and one for the rear.
You should wire an arming switch for the rear so you use the front for your burnout, then arm the rear for your starts.
I'd bet that SJM could put a kit together for you.

We can offer you anything you'd like, single components, pieces, flaring tool etc. My personal feeling is if you added up all what is needed, you're not really saving much of anything especially when you take into consideration the time involved.
Mounting location is important; don't place them near high-heat areas. You NEED to mount the solenoid, do not let brake lines support them.
Aside from the aforementioned, I'm not going to tell you how/what you need to build a setup since we've got a few types of plug and play designs ready for an end-user. If you'd like to configure one yourself, we can supply you with any piece you'd need. You just need to let me know your shopping list and I can supply any piece.
