Default M2 Cam only in C5 A4 goes 11.157 @121.21 last night.....

We made it over to Hallsville last night and ran a best 11.157 @ 121.21. As it usually happens, the track was shut down 3 times with oil downs and the track was green and cold, not raced on in two weeks. Oh our lucky day! But, the forecast was for rain Saturday, so we broke for the track 2 1/2 hours away.

Arrived there at 7:00, gates had opened an hour earlier but they had just started racing. We decided to crack off a quick run to see where we were at. Spun with an embarrassing 1.67 60 ft., Next run was slightly better with a 1.604, but not even close to the 1.49 we got Wednesday at Kennedale when we ran the 7.04. Things were looking grim, as most racers were spinning badly ahead of us. We experimented with a little lower air pressure and finally got a good run:

11.157 @ 121.21 mph
1.545 60 ft. (so-so)
1/8 mile 7.097 @ 96.63 mph (good mph but less than spectacular ET)

We were happy, the other runs were 11.23 and less and had a best 121.83 mph!, so not a total loss. The weather was not near as good as we hoped for and the humidity was rising as the night wore on

Good runs and a very impressive cam only car. I was the white cam only Z that you talked to when you were loading up the car. I spun on every pass or actually jumped out of the grooves on the launch but still managed a 1.55 60ft. You made me feel bad running low 11s lol i was hopeing to run some 11.40s but my rear brakes were freezing up on the calipers and slowing the car down big time. Good runs and maybe next time when the weather is better you can cut some 10.90s with a 1.4 60ft.

Nice to talk with you last night. We had fun, but it is such a long drive back. I finally got to bed at 2 AM! Too late for an old man. My sons can cope much better. I wish the traction was better last night. We got spoiled by the 1.5's we have been running and when you get a 1.6, it is a disaster. Back in my Mustang days, we would gave died for a 1.8!!!!
