Default Mechanical fuel pump question.

First off, what drive ratio are you turbo guys running? Tooth count on the pump and tooth count on the crank pulley? (For 2000 HP-ish)

And does the pulleys have to be the cog "square tooth" style pulleys? Can they be the rounded style tooth pulleys that are used on dry sump pumps and Jesel belt drive systems?

I normally run the red Aeromotive pump at 1/2 crank speed, it will support 2500hp at that speed.

Thanks, Kurt. And what do you think about the rounded tooth belt vs. the square tooth belt? Is there a lot of drag on these pumps at higher fuel pressure and RPM? I'm going to make my own pulleys and it's easer for me to make a rounded tooth pulley...

I have been using the round tooth for the last 10 years with great results. I have used 10mm wide belts on the fuel pump with no problems, even overdriven a bit faster (60%)
