10" rim & tire questions
After doing a search, I am a little confused as to what exactly needs to be done to fit a 10" wide rim and 26x10 slick on the rear. I am aware of the rear brake grinding and that's not a problem, but what about the bump stops and fender lip?
I also read that with an 8" rim there are no clearance issues other than the caliper with the same tire, is this true?

My car is pretty low, and the way the housing looks I'm on the bump stops all the time, so I kinda want to keep them. Is anyone running a 26X10 tire on a 10" rim that still has the bump stops?

i've cut the bump stops cus im curently running 325s. but i do know that with 7.5 backspacing on 10" wheels bump stops wont be a problem. im not sure if the slicks will clear them but u have to put them on and check. keep in mind that slicks will grow as they get warmed up.

I just mounted up my 10'' wheels today.
15x10 RaceStar Industries, 7.5'' BS. 275/60/15 drag radials.
The 28'' tire with stock shocks/springs had no issues fitting in the fenders/wheel wells, however one side did require the bump stop to be ground off. I'm not sure why only one side rubbed the bump stop, the rear end looked pretty centered, but when you're dealing with clearances of about a half inch who knows.
I think with a 26'' tire, unless you're more than 2'' lowered you shouldn't have any wheel well issues. There's really no way to tell if you'll need to grind the bump stops until you mount up the wheel and look.
