Default First Time to the track. I have a couple ?

So my first question is rules. Im going to street legal madness tomorrow and im hoping to hit 12's ( hoping ) i need to know the rules though. Whats required if your car runs in the 12's?

Last question and i really hope someone will help is launching my car. The GTO's are known for being hard to launch and i really would like advice. What PSI should i have my tires at?

Thanks guys

You will need nothing but a seat belt and a helmet on. 11.50 is the point were you need the major things.

I would start launching kinda low, like 3000 rpms and see how the car feels. And it is good to see how it is going to react before you turn it loose.
I suspect it is only going to work better as you raise the launch up to the point were the tires break loose.

Best of all have fun doing it and be safe.

What tires are you running? When im trying to get the launch down on a car I usually start about 20 psi and work my way down, but I run drag radials or bias ply ET streets.

Ive never launched a GTO but im sure its not entirely different than another IRS car. Ryne@CMS on here is my tuner, he has an 05 GTO M6 he had running 10.1 in the quarter with a slipping clutch. Thats probably one of the faster goats on the site.

Your really not going to launch well on a tire like that but id take em to 20 psi, no sure id take those any lower then 18psi though.
