Question Anyone running the vfn rear hatch and speedglass rear glass combo on an f-body?

I would think this would lose a substatial amount of weight with the added possibility of fabbing up some brackets on the vfn fiberglass piece to facilitate using it like the stock (non-pin on or use pins but have it hinge so you can use open and have it supported when needed -since it would be rather light.

Also, can speedglass have window tint applied to it without distortion or damage to the "glass"? Would rear speedglass be safe for a street car?

The speedglass isn't a problem...

The hatch, when you see it you will know that there's no way to hinge it. You will have to fasten it with dzus fastners, the design is nowhere near strong enough to be lifed from the top like a stock type hatch is.

Just do the speedglass, that will be a pretty substantial weight loss in itself, and with a light tint, it will look close to factory.
