Can I Gut the Wiring from the Firewall to the Tail Lights?

Does anyone know if I can eliminate the under dash harness and all the little black boxes? I don't have anti lock brakes, cruise, radio, heater, AC, electric tranny or traction control. Bare bones drag car with the factory PCM.

I plan to use the key to lock the door if I need to and run a relay to role the windows up and down and turn the lights on if I have a night race. I have a psi switch on my brake lines to activate the brake lights. Can I remove everything from the windshield to the brake lights?

There has to be a way to do this. I see guys put these engines in 34 Fords and they are not useing all the little black boxes.

Not for sure man, follow the wires. Or get some wiring diagrams that's what I did with my mustang wiring project.

Sounds like you need to "Search" for "Race Wiring" as thats basically where your at. I have not done something like that so I really cannot comment on it. What I did learn recently is you CAN directly power the power windows to operate them up and down.

Just something I noticed working with a Friend's car.

if you aint running a 4l60e i dont see why not do..take your engine bay harness an let that be..figure out the wires for starting the car and sending what info that needs to go to the pcm to the dash shit and be done.

Yes it can be done.Like stated you have to manually wire a few things like the lights and pcm ignition (+) and batt (+) for it.

you don't need a relay for the windows, already has it's own control box. Just add power.
