Default Can I run much better with these mods?

2000 TA 6spd
ls6 intake
pp tb
tune
slp cai
bbk LTs
Off road y pipe
magnaflow exhaust
zo6 clutch and fly
hurst shifter
tires are good year 275/45/17 street tires

I run and upshift without lifting from the throttle. I do use the clutch though. I try to ease out of the hole. I hit usually a 2.15 60'. I hit 13.14 three times, and a 13.15 in the 1/4. I had the tires down to 26lbs. I wanted to run next time at 23lbs and then at 20lbs then 17lbs if I could and work from there if there was ever a big difference. I was going to assume that like 20lbs would be the best to run with... maybe more like 22lbs... not sure. They are street tires not DRs. Any thoughts on this? Sound about right? Thanks LS1!

Oh yeah, track elevation is 1115 feet and ambient temps were 79degrees and the humidity was 40% I think...

let more air out of the tires and see how that helps, the 60ft is killing you. I used to get to the track and let my tires to 20psi and adjust from there depending on how the track was that night, you can easily be in the 12s once you get your 60s in the high 1.8-2.0 range. It just takes practice

Always run as much PSI as the car will allow and be with in 1 tenth of the best 60 foot you can do. A harder tire will help MPH and help in the back half of the track.

IMO and Exp, M6 cars just have a hard time and leaving soft is not an option. We are aware of the short comings of that rear and all the crap needed to get it to run. Aside from clutch slipping like a fiend your probably not going to better that time. Your making some power and you have no better then a stock street style tire, NO PSI changing will make that much of a diff.

I appreciate the feedback fellas. Thanks a lot. Yeah... not looking to slip the crap out of the clutch more than I have to. My 60s were consistent within a tenth or two basically.

Nice Job. Depending on how serious you want to get will depend on how deep your pockets are.

But to note the time slip, it looks like the 60 foot did not change much but the drop in ET is MOST likely due to change in the Density Altitude. What was the MPH when you ran 13.15X

Is that due to the temperature... yeah when I ran the 13.15 it was 70 degrees out. This time it was 48degrees.

Duffster that is nice with those radials. I bet that is a blast. Good run man. I appreciate the confidence. Recall what you ran without the drags by any chance? I'm wondering if there is anything else I could possibly work on. I really don't see myself cutting 1.8 60's in this thing. Maybe a solid 2.0 would be nice. We might take the TA to Thompson on Saturday we will see.

Thanks,
Troy
