Default How much ET gained from 150 hit of dope?

I am at 95 right now on motor in my 89 RS(1/8th), race weight with me is about 3500ish. It is a 6 speed with 4.30 gears and the LQ4 has a Trex cam, i am just wanting to see how much MPH i can gain from the 150 shot plate kit that is going on the car as soon as i get a fuel cell for the nitrous system.

This is carbed with a Vic Jr intake so i will probably gain the maximum that i can with the kit, but is 105 MPH in the 1/8th possible? Or is that too much? I have never sprayed a car that trapped 95 in the 1/8th and i know the faster you are going, the less you start to gain with additional modifications.

Trying to judge how i might stack up against the buddies with some juice, LOL.

Pretty sure I gained 9 on 150 and 13 on 200 shot. These were 1/8 gains.

I wouldnt mind a 200 if i had a kit for it, mine maxes at 150.

So, 9 MPH on EFI setup right? If i am lucky and mine if more efficient at getting a good delivery with the carb, i am sure i will get 9ish, what bottle pressure were you at?

950. Started running this a few weeks ago, less bottle pressure drop instead of starting at 1000.

Correct on the EFI setup.

Yea, i have never tried over 950 on my old setups, had a friend with solenoid shudder at 1150, blew the intake into pieces.

I think my car with the old n/a converter, which was getting it to 10.5 @ 3600 on motor would run about 102 to the 1/8th n/a, when I first started hitting it the car would go about 112... I changed the converter to something a good bit tighter and it didn't pick up anything to the 1/8th in et but it did pick up about 2.5 more mph (getting it into the high 114's)... out the back it gained a TON though... enough to drop the ET's about 3 tenth's and up the trap speed over 5 mph.

EFI setup as well.

Converter, and how it reacts will have a large impact on the gains you will see.

I run a T56. What size shot were you hitting it with?

the 150 jet that came with the kit was a 63, fuel was a 44 which was pretty fuel heavy, I ended up with a 65/42 and that was still on the heavy side, probably would have been about perfect with a 67/40

A ton will depend on your short time. I only ran the car a few times with the bottle and a 6-speed (3 or 4 passes) while I was waiting on my th400 and new motor. Never enough to get it down. I was hitting it with 100. Unfortunately, times are 1/4 mile, but it gives you some source of reference.

NA - 12.50@115

N2O - 12.43@124

Guess what I was doing a lot of...
