Default 275/60's vs. 325/50's height difference

Is there a significant difference in height between the two to affect gearing? I have used the 325/50's before, and now I'm thinking of trying out the 275/60's to cut down rotating weight mass. Drag Racers, please advise.

325mm * .50 = 162.5 (x2)
275mm * .60 = 165.0 (x2)

The 275/60 is .19" taller.

In tire size, for instance 275/60. The 275 stands for the width of 275 mm's. The 60 is the height of the sidewall represented in a percentage of the width

When I went from 325 to 275 I actually got a little shorter as I stayed with the 10w wheel that kinda laid the tire open a bit. You got to stay with the manufactures measured rim width to get an advertised dimension/rollout. But either way, the difference is so minimal in height, if you think the 275 will hold the car then go for it.

At this point with my car... I'd be happy to make a pass on any tire!

Thought about the new 295's? I have a set and love them. Great option if you want more sidewall than the 275's and don't wanna cut for the 325's.

295's? 295/60's? That would be another inch taller. And if you meant 295/50's, we would be back to around 27" area.

Are these Mickey Thompson or Hoosier drag radials? I didn't see it in their site.

Mickey Thompson. They're 28" tall. Saw a lot of cars at the shootout this year, running them.

Yea, i love mine thus far. I wanted a 28' but more sidewall than the 275's. Perfect middle for me and many others.
