Default 50 more horses good for how much in the 1/8th?

How much time can I cut off with 50 more horses?
I run 7.8sec at 102mph (track is not prepped, it's the inner pit lane for road course). What are your thoughts?

The track I normally go to sux, I spin hard as there is not track prep.

I've done a 7.0 at 100mph at another track, but hardly go as this track is only 3 minutes away.

I know 10hp is about a tenth in the 1/4, just trying to figure what 50 translate to in 1/8th

Thanks

Honestly if the track is that bad you would probably go slower if you put more power to it, LOL

That extra HP won't do you any good if you spin. I'd be more worried about hooking than getting a faster ET.

If there is Zero Prep, its almost one of those "Why Bother" kind of situations. If all other things equal, you hit that tire with more power, given the RPM range, you need to be able to apply it to the pavement.

I forget exactly but running 1/8th mile, your only going to hit 1 to possibly 2 gear changes where the last 360 ft that the HP will take advantage off will not be there. 1/8th mile it maybe negligble.
