I have actually taken a lot out of the car. I have removed the spare jack and tire, front and rear bumper supports, windshield washer components, all the a/c, carpet/sound deadening, seats etc.
I first removed the rear seats and had all the interior left in the car. Then one day I decided to back into our sloped driveway when it had rained. The rain water had backed up in the rear hatch area and started funneling into my car, so thats what led to the removal of the remaining interior.
The car is my daily driver but nobody else goes in my car, so I was like what the hell, I'll just keep it out.
And since its illegal to have tinted windows on the side windows here in Cali the removal of a/c was a no brainer since I roll with the windows down anyway.

Cool....not to burst your bubble, but I'm @ 3100 and I still have all interior, ac, swaybars, cruise and sound deadening. That is with my drag wheels on it, but they only weigh 20# more.

Once I throw my headers back on and true duals, along with a k member and a-arms I should be right there, if not lighter.
I guess its just a matter of how far, and crazy you want to get with it. On a good note, it makes you faster and have better braking with the weight removed.
Probally so. But it is my DD. I may remove the airbags and I have a carbon hood for it that's 21# lighter. Realisticly I could get to 3050 and still have a complete car with alot of lightened parts.
