The LS6 intake does not have the notches to run the factory LS1 4 corner crossovers under it. So if a person didn't want to remove there LS6 intake and modify it you can do this, which was fairly easy to install.
Some people have just added another LS6 front crossover to the back and tied them together.

then for routing purposes, wouldn't it make sense to rotate the kup unit 180 and go off the passenger side? (did I miss the radiator connection being on the drivers side).

The reason for a system like this is it helps promote more even cooling for the heads.
I am sure there is a much less expensive alternative but looks like a good easy kit to install.

Correct. But I would have to do something to keep it off the idler pulley and belt. So I ran it the same way the factory one ran. Keeps things simple.

There is. But when there isn't a shop in town I trust to be drilling and tapping anything (I am in Alaska). Getting the this kit makes life easy, plus I got every part I needed.

Wegner Motorsports sells the water line adapters if you want to fab-up your own setup.

The kit is nice easy and simple. Only down fall is you pay for it and that isn't always a problem.

I did my reserch and math before I order anything.
For me, even with the ups 2 day shipping it was still alot cheaper then I could have had some hack do it for up here. Or if I had pieced it out, I would have spent more then that on just buying the steelbraided lines up here.
