Steve did you see the post on YB about the 25.3 cars not certing anymore for having the X bars in the door not meet up with the dash cross bar at the top of the firewall?

That setup looks great though, I really like that. Kind of what I wanted to do... but at this point, I think we're just going to say F it and put a 4 link/full back 1/2 in.... that's what I have to race against.... so mine as well just bite the bullet, and do what is already established for the class.

I am not sure what the customer plans to do class wise with the car.

It did leave the shop with a cert sticker. All of them do or we fix what is wrong. we have not had to fix one yet.

Thanks for all the compliments.

I figured it passed cert. I did see something on YB that they're getting picky about the door X, where it meets up by the dash. I guess there's something about the X not being high enough, people doing it this way to make getting in and out easier, make it easier to get the dash in the car, etc. Look in the ls1 section on YB, there's a thread with a link to it.

Maybe it's just one specific inspector that's doing it I don't know. Just an FYI thing... that cage looks amazing, much like everything else that comes out of Chuck's shop!

Steve,

Where are you getting your window nets from? After Lenmar built my 25.3 car I couldn't find a window net and my only option (I thought) was to have a custom one made at Stroud.

Can you get one or do ya'll sell em?

I don't get a chance to get onto Tech much anymore so, if you have a line on one could ya shoot me a pm.

Thanks,

Kev
