Paging six speed 12 bolt guys
Have you ever broken a 30-31 spline axle? 4.30 to 4.56 gears on 28 inch slicks. Posi or spool? (If posi did you break that as well?)
Looking for cars in the 1.3-1.6 sixty foot range?
I am curious as to the strength differences between the 30 and 33 spline axles
Thanks again,
Chris

This is a little off the topic but when i ordered my 12 bolt moser from TTPERFORMANCE I was told since I upgraded to 33 spline axles that they came with a ten year warrany from moser. Sounds to me like they should be pretty tough if your going to offer a warranty like that.

Who needs a posi, Corvettes are for corning. F-body's are straight line cars! On a more serious note though I ditched the posi for a spool and had a blast with it on the street. No issues at all driving around except for really tight turns. You just need to add more gas and it will take care of that problem!

The spool is ok to some degree. I only drove it in the rain a little bit. I would expect the inside tire to slip a little bit, but nothing crazy. Personally I had no issues with the streetability of it. The only issue I had was with pushing it around the driveway with the wheels turned. A spool with wide tires makes it very difficult to position a car by pushing it around. Driving it is no big deal though.
As far as ABS, I got rid of mine long ago. I never used it in a situation where non-abs brakes couldn't stop the car. Traction control also takes a hike with a spool too. With the system applying one brake on the inside or opposite side it only applies brakes to the whole axle.

I don't think they make a minispool / locker / anything like that for a 12-bolt 33-spline passenger car setup. It's either Eaton Posi or full spool. Nine inch is a different matter... you have options.
I agree about the spool, the only time it's annoying to me is in slow turns (parking type maneuvers). A manual rack and a spool make for an interesting combination.
On concrete, the hoppy-chirp is kinda cool tho.
