BMR trans crossmember, real crap piece
Got a bmr crossmember for my '94 for a th400 and it couldn't fit any worse! First the bolt holes on the passenger side don't line up so when I milled out the slots to make them fit I had to cut the washers to clear the weld on the tube. Finally get it mounted on car and the passenger side is too high, almost like they cut the tune too short so the plate where the mount mounts too is on a big angle. So after shimming and grinding to make that work I see the trans mount slot is way off. Took back off and had to grind the slot further towards the trans to make it clear. THEN after all that crap, the mount is all together too low so I had to make a 1/2 spacer to make up the difference from crossmember to mount. All in all a real crap piece! And after a lot of research I see a lot of other people have the same issues. Iv emailed them and no email back. BMR, if your reading this I'm HIGHLY disappointed in this product.

Haha, when I had a bad k-member everybody told me it was no big deal and just grind it a little and get it to fit. Its bullshit the amount we pay for parts that dont fit right. Really sux. On that note, my trans mount fits the car fine, waiting on the trans to see if it fits that. Not counting on it after some of the pics I have seen. Good luck with it.

My BMR 4l80e cross-member fit fine. Nice and sturdy. I got 2 from MWC and neither fit at all, light weight POS. I thought it might fall out. I shimmed it like 3/4 of an inch to make it work but the drive line was all wrong. I bought the BMR cross-member and it bolted right in. Total wasted my money with the MWC.

So after a few hours tonight I got it to work. Had to make a 1/4 spacer to lower the pass side to level out the mount plate. After doing that I had to made a 1/2" spacer to make up the lower distance now between the crossmember and trans mount. All this after I had to mill the slots longer and find longer bolts etc. Excellent!

Yea it is, I have 2 different ones here that I tried and they all fit the same. Bolts to the trans and goes straight down to the mount, pretty straight forward piece. Either way that doesn't effect the way how the the crossmember didn't fit right ya know.

Lol I sent them a pm on 4/3/15 asking about a kmember and a arms and still haven't got a response. This isn't the first time either. On 4/6/15 at 6am I sent Umi the same message. Got a response before noon. So I bought all Umi through ws6store. Bmr needs to get their customer service under control.

Good luck with BMR, I emailed them three times with an easy question ready to spend lots of money and never got a response. I already spent $1k at UMI and I still need a K member, it's between UMI and MWC.

MWC has four 4th gen cars here to fit our parts up to, and we are constantly checking parts to make sure all is well.
Keep in mind people these cars are not all exactly the same right out of the factory. The factory components usually have huge holes and fasteners with large washers to take up the gap. MWC components do not have large holes and sometime this can be an issue to where a hole may need massaged with a file.
MWC normally stocks both 93-97 and 98-02 conversion crossmembers for 'Glide, TH350, 4L60E, T56, TH400, and 4L80E trans combos. These are made with DOM seamless tubing and laser cut bracketry. If one desires a lighter weight version out of chromoly or aluminum we can do that but it is a build to order basis and can take some time to get through the shop.

We apologize for taking so long to get back with everyone on their inquiries. We are busier than we have ever been and are short-handed here in the office so it is taking us longer than usual to get back to people. I will get with everybody here and make sure we get everybody squared away.
Thanks,
Kyle
