Default MSD 2 Step & 2001 TA 2-wire clutch switch

Could not find which tire was 12V. Read on here that the dark green was the one I needed to tap into. 2 step not turning on with clutch depressed.

I had to use a relay with the LPE LNC2 that I had, is the MSD box the same story?

Thanks!

You can use a test light and figure it out. But myself no relay and if I remember it was green with a brown line, dont hold me to that.

its a 2-wire connector and it has a green and a purple with something wire. i think i found a wiring diagram, but it needs a 87a relay. which i have, so i'll wire it in. it worked with the LPE one. i don't think the switch runs on 12v so there is no way it can give a 12v output to the 2step.

MSD 2 step works off switched ground OR 12v. One wire is solid blue and one is blue/white.

unplug the connector from the lower clutch switch and jump it with a jumper wire. run the switch ground wire from the msd 2step to one side of the switch, other side of the switch to a ground.

2step will be activated with the clutch depressed

I wired mine right off the pcm, didn't have to go through the firewall. Blue PCM # 32 Grey wire Clutch Pedal Position Switch Signal. Everything functions as normal and the 2 step is only active when the pedal is to the floor.
