Default running out of gear?

After I put in 3.90s in place of my 3.23s I noticed my speedo says I am only going 107-110 before hitting the rev limiter in 3rd. This isn't an issue since I only run 1/8 mile. I was just curious if my speedo is accurate though. 26in tall mt drs, unlocked ss3600 yank. 6600 rev limiter

Assuming I will trap at best 116 in the 1/4, will I have enough gear to go through in 3rd? (Gear calculator says I "should" go 12X.

I have 3.90's with a 6sp and trap 124 on a 26' tire. You should be fine. My limiter is @ 6800.

When I hit the limiter in 3rd (6600), it shows 107-110. In that area. Im guessing my 3rd is comparable to an m6s 4th?

Your 3rd and my 4th are equal other than a little converter slip for you. The speedo is probally a little slow.

That's good to hear. I guess I just need to go out to a 1/4 and just find out. Worst case scenario is next set of tires are 27in qtps

Usually the speedo is quite a bit slower than your actual mph
