Thanks everyone! I couldn't agree more about getting this cam to run right. I had all of these intentions (weight reduction, cage, etc) when I put the cam in the car a year and a half ago. However, I ran the car at almost full weight with a 3600 Vig which resulted in a 7.35@96 MPH. It's crazy that I have picked up almost a full second in the 1/8th without changing anything engine/power wise. I plan on getting in the 6.30's and hopefully 9.90's in the 1/4. I'm going to a scirocco style radiator, moving it to the back of the car, and cutting all of the core support out. Once the core support is out of the way I will build a custom ram air that will Y to both of the holes in the Camaro front end and go straight to the throttle body. Also, we are building a fuel cell from scratch to mount in the stock location.

I have made some minor adjustments since the last time I went out but I'm really excited about seeing my shift light. The last time the Raptor shift light was mounted in the A-pilar vent which didn't work because of my glasses and helmet. Now it's mounted on a ring with a piece of tubing that goes on the cage. I attached it with a t-bolt clamp that way it was still adjustable and removable. It ends up sitting directly in front of my face but not in the way of my vision. Should be able to see it now lol! Here's a short clip!

Sounds like you got her runny really good! I don't think my first 10.50 e.t. goal comment is valid as it looks like 10.0's will be then norm off the juice. My car and your car would make one HELL of a race. You have heads though and probably about 30-40rwhp more than me, but we both weigh the same. Great runs!

Yeah it's running pretty good. Looks like we would be a good race. Also, with us both having black hoods I'd probably end up getting into your car by accident lol. Sometimes I think my car is down on power because it only made 429 on the dyno. I shift the car around 6400 because it still has stock rod bolts but I might try shifting it higher to see if it picks up. Thought about trying race gas and playing with the tune for more power. I'm at a crossroads of spending more money on this engine or investing money in a bigger setup. I'm going to run Ultimate Street at SGMP in February just to gain some experience. I know I won't be competitive but it's fun knowing that I'm next to race engines. I'm having tons of fun with this setup and it's an absolute ball to drive.
Added: Your cam is smaller than mine, but it's still considered big as mine is (239/247 .623/.623 110) you wouldn't have to shift it as high as mine to make power, but 6400 is too low for that cam. I understand not wanting to spin it any higher though. My car has katech rod bolts in it and I shift it at 7200 I picked up pretty nicely moving mine from 6800 to 7200. Also FWIW on the race gas, I run mine on 93, but since the tune that was faster at the track had 2 degrees more timing in it than the one that made max power I was thinking of trying some 103 or 109 VP unleaded and see if it picks up any due to the added octane along with the timing. Something else to play with.

I don't think it's down on power, maybe, but FWIW I made 404rwhp and 350rwtq on a Mustang Dyno, but the tune that makes the most HP doesn't run the fastest at the track, at least in the 1/4 it didn't. Although most would say 404 and 350 is great for a stang dyno, 5000 stall, 4.10's and a spool taking power away I don't really care. I think if you made 429 with heads and you were on a stang dyno like I was then you aren't down on power at all.

I thought I would post an update on what's going on with the car. I got an Afco Scirocco style radiator and shroud so I can do away with my stock stuff. I converted over to manual window regulators because I didn't feel like wiring up the factory stuff and my old work had some overstock of manual regs. Some quick information, anyone switching over should know that it's not worth it (they are lighter but only 1.5lbs per side) to switch for weight purposes. Also, I got some aluminum door skins an I'm playing with doing a design with a roller just for the fun. I plan on powdercoating them or possible putting some carpet on them to make it not look so racecarish (is that a word? lol) I shortened up my exhaust a little because I had 20" bullets that hung pretty low to the ground. I ended up cutting them to about 5" and put them directly on the collector so now I have plenty of clearance if it comes down hard.
For the near future I have a Magnafuel MP4703 that's rated to 2500+ NA power so it should be plenty of fuel for my 400HP motor. A custom cell is being built that will mount in the factory location. Once the fuel system is in the nitrous is heading back on the car. At the same time I'm doing the fuel cell I'm going to do a motor plate and mid plate so I can clean the engine bay up. Since the radiator is being located in the rear I'm taking the entire core support out and just running a couple of pieces of moly to hold the front stuff up. I'll have some pictures of the progress pretty soon, hope everyone had a great new years.

Got one pass in today due to the motor moving and ripping the bellow off of the airlid. Furthermore, I forgot to move my rev limiter up from 6600 and it hit the rev limiter before the finish. The car is now coming apart for the motor plate an other stuff.

Got my fuel pump today! Its a MP-4703 Magnafuel rated for 2500hp (NA) and flows 325 gph. Now that I have this I plan on putting the nitrous back on the motor. Hopefully my little LS1 won't drown in fuel lol.
