nitto's and the stock rear!?!?!

i'm soon to be installing a good sized cam in the car (makes 339 on a mustang dyno untuned right now) with a spec stage 4 clutch and was wondering if my stock rear with a t/a girdle will hold nittos as long as i don't dump or side step the clutch.... kinda slip it out untill it gets rolling and then go.

stock 3.42's and a rear end girdle is what's in there

Nitto's will definitely be better than regular street tires. I don't have any time with 6 spd, but I would lowered the air pressure to 14 psi and do a loooong burnout and get to starting line ASAP so tire stays heated. If possible let other car in other lane do the burnout first, then you. You can experiment with the air, starting with 19 or 20 and come down in increments of one or two. good luck.

DO a good burnout with tires at 18 psi. PUll up to line and bring rpms to 3500. WHen you launch, dump the clutch and ease down on the gas. Dont just stick the gas as it will shock the tires to hard. Dump the clutch and hold the gas peddle still untill the car starts to bog and then stick the gas. YOu wont have any probs with the rear either this way as you are not shocking the rear.
