Default BBC Burkhart motor plate questions ??? Help

Ok i have what I believe is a set of burkhart plates ...I bought them off a guy on here ...I am mocking up my 555 t-400 ford 9 inch combo
The plates offset the engine to the right ..what rear trans crossmember/mount should I be using ...i have a manual trans crossmember with a 1" spacer then a poly mount ..which i read was the hot ticket ..when looking through the mains and empty trans the pinion is higher than the crank centerline !! is this normal ?? i can raise the rear of the trans or lower the front of the engine to bring it in line ...or is this normal ..
...maybe Burkhart can shed some light on this or others that have done the BBC conversion

Thanks Dave
